Shoplifter Thought He Could Bypass US Marines In The Process
A shoplifter at Best Buy at Augusta, Georgia who brandished a knife broke free from store security had to clear one other obsticle he faced: US Marines on duty in dress blues standing in the breezeway collecting toys for Toys for Tots.In the process of catching the fleeing shoplifter, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, 24, suffered a single stab wound. He was treated and released from the hospital later Friday, Sgt. Dan Carrier of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said. "He's doing fine."
Tracey Attaway, 39, was in custody Friday night and was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, authorities said.
